If you, like us, are in high school, though you may not realize it, there are certain things that you can only do here and now. I'm not going to feed you the cliché of "high school are the best 4 years of your life" but I will say this; high school is a unique time in your life where you have the freedom of being a young adult while not being burdened with the responsibilies of a real adult, and that is something that needs to be taken advantage (not misuse) of. High school is the time when you can explore activities outside of school, friendships, relationships and passions with a safety net. For this reason we have created a list of things you need to check off your to-do list before you graduate.

1. Go explore with your best buddies.

We're not saying that you have to become the next Columbus.. Go on a camping trip, a road trip, a boat trip, anything! It's almost guaranteed to make a memory you can cherish forever.

2. Find out what interests you.
There is no better time to try out different clubs, activities and hobbies. It could be anything from music...

To go karting...

Maybe even quidditch...

We are not saying you have to find your one true passion and the meaning to your life, but you are guaranteed to find something that you like, as well as finding other people who share your interest.

3. Grow in confidence.
This can be a tricky one. For some, high school is notorious for being a time of testing our confidence, lowering our self-esteem and struggling to figure out who we are. No matter what your strenghts and weaknesses are, throughout high school you are bound to find something you are good at. Now work on it! It will boost your confidence. We also get the chance to work on things that we are not so confident in, and while this can be daunting, it is often worth it in the end. You may just become a more confident public speaker, writer, or athlete.

4. Take your drivers test.
You're 16, 17, 18 and you haven't left home yet (and may still be benefitting from mom and dad's financial coverage) and this is a good time to get your driver's license. Driving may not be for everyone and if you move away from home after graduation you might not have a car, but it's smart to take your drivers test now so you always have the possibility of driving in the future. Plus, you will automatically earn bragging rights when you ace your test on the first try (at least that's what you'll say, nobody has to know it actually took four tries).

PS. This is how not to do it.

5. Travel.
Visit somewhere you haven't been before, whether it's a new country, continent, city or town. It's always interesting to experience something different to your daily routines.

6. Participate in school traditions.
Every school has traditions, especially in your senior year of high school. It may be planning a senior prank, going to a prom or formal, or in the case of the Swedish tradition- having a party on a truck and driving around town. It's a perfect way to commemorate your time in high school and making awesome memories for the photo albums.

7. Say good bye to all your friends.

We're not saying that you're never going to see your friends from high school again, but chances are that most of you will seperate to different corners of the world or country. Spend the time you have with the people you care about. This includes classmates, teachers and family members.

Now get ready to GRADUATE!
