These past couple of weeks we haven't shared much else besides some breezy posts filled with pictures, and this week we thought we'd go off on a more serious note.

Having just started the IB diploma programme a few months ago we are now getting used to the schedule, the workload, the classes and the different routines. One thing that the IB stresses is being balanced as we always have too keep up with our CAS (creativity, action and service). We've realized that being balanced actually helps us and even though sometimes it's difficult to organize our time, we try engage in different activities to keep us active, energized and motivated. I would go as far as to say that without these acitivities it would be harder to get up in the morning and school life would get somewhat monotonous.

This is why we've decided to come up with a few tips for anyone in school who could use a little a motivation !

1. Get enough sleep!

Trust us, you'll need it...

2. Try to have a balanced diet

Now we do not encourage dieting or keeping to strict healthy and light diet, we simply mean to do your best to keep a varied and sensible diet that keeps you energized (don't skip meals!!).

3. Don't forget to exercise now and then...

Although sometimes it can be hard to get started, but once you get into a routine it really helps in keeping you balanced.
4. Take time to RELAX too!
It's easy to get caught up in school work and extracurriculars but remember to take time off once in a while and relax, socialize, etc

5. Try something new
Part of the idea of CAS is to not only do one activity, but to do a few activities and to try something new, challenge yourself and see if you can find new interests and new projects to take part of- there are actually many interesting projects out there that you might not have thought about. Who knows, you may find new sides of yourself!
